Ron Clarke What better - and cheaper - way to explore Coventry than to investigate the city's public art?

We asked Ron Clarke - senior keeper of visual arts at the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum – to choose his favourites.

Ron, 59, (pictured) has worked at the Herbert for 35 years and keeps a database of more than 450 public works of art.

Here, he explains how the city centre weather forecasting towers work, where a classic piece of art deco is hidden and how to use the Time Zone Clock in Millennium Square.
