Coventry canal’s towpath has its own art gallery.
The five-mile towpath walk boasts 39 works of art - most reflecting the canal’s surroundings and the city’s heritage.
The majority of the pieces were commissioned by the city council and environmental charity Groundwork between 1996 and 1999.
There are two sculptural groups by Mark Tilley, but Ron has chosen Children Playing.
Approach the canal from Stoney Stanton Road – the northern crossing, near the Gallagher Retail Park – and you’ll find these two figures are on the grassy slope beside the path.
