Coventry indie band The Senses have split – just days after releasing their first video.
Shot at Midland Air Museum in Baginton the video featured the band playing their popular track We’re Not Wanted.
Days after the video was uploaded to You Tube rumours of the break-up appeared on the Covscene website.
A statement from the band confirmed the split but did not reveal the cause.
A number of musicians paid tribute on the Covscene forum.
Steve Jones, also known as Coventry folk singer
Stylusboy, said: “I am really gutted about Senses.
“They were doing so well. They had been going for so long and really survived the times. I have so much respect for what they did.
”I know all these things must come to an end.”
Before the split The Senses had secured airplay on BBC Radio 2 and other stations.
The video, filmed by Aspect Ratio, was one of the most professional to be produced by an unsigned Coventry band in recent years.
Earlier this year The Senses did a video interview for It’s All About Coventry. To watch the interview
