THIS haunting image has earned Coventry hospital worker Emma Linnane a place in an internationally renowned photography festival.

Emma, 21, a University Hospital clerical officer, has had her piece Juvenile Odyssey chosen to feature in the Format '09 festival in Derby.

Format is one of the UK's leading contemporary photography and media festivals and this year features renowed British photographer Martin Parr.

The picture was taken as part of her coursework for a fine art photography degree at The University of Derby.

It was taken in Bentley Wood near Mancetter, North Warwickshire.

The former Finham Park School pupil said: "Format is a popular festival with a great reputation so I'm really proud that one of my photographs has been selected to be part of this.

"It's a great feeling that the picture I took will be on show to the public to see. I've also gained a lot of experience on how an exhibition like this is organised which has been really enjoyable.

"I want to continue with this and hope I will part of more exhibitions in the future."

Format '09 runs at the Banks' Mill Studios in Bridge Street, Derby between March 6 to April 5.
