DRAMATIC pictures of gun-toting robbers have been released by Coventry cops.

While one masked man grips a bag bulging with cash another threatens bank staff with a shotgun.

West Midlands Police released the images in a bid to catch the raiders who targeted Lloyds TSB in Walsgrave Road at 5.10pm on August 7.

A police spokesman said: "The bank had already closed for the day.

"The offenders, who were armed with a gun, threatened staff and demanded money.

"No shots were fired and no-one was injured.

"The offenders escaped via a rear entrance with a large quantity of cash.

"They left the scene along a rear alleyway, and a black BMW car is believed to have been used, which left St Michaels Road in the direction of Binley Road."

He added: "Although masked, the three are believed to be white men in their early to mid 20s, of slim to medium build and are thought to live in the Coventry area."

Anyone with information about the incident, the men involved, or the vehicle that may have been seen in the area, is urged to contact CID at Chace Avenue police station on 0845 113 5000, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
