This shop is a marvel.
As you step inside you’re transported into another world.
Dozens of hand made bears peer down from shelves and in a cabinet on a far wall is a beautiful Edwardian dolls’ house.
Upstairs is a world of miniature.
Hanging from hooks are hundreds of tiny packets and inside are even tinier dolls house accessories.
Cups and saucers smaller than thimbles, Monopoly boards half the size of credit cards and clocks hardly bigger than fingernails are all for sale.
It’s enough to turn the most disinterested shopper into a collector.
Owner Tina Wheat said: “I’ve got one customer who had an extension built just for her dolls’ houses.
“She must have about 17 but her husband has said ‘that’s it’ no more now.’
“I think the beauty of collecting is that you can come in, spend just a couple of pounds and an hour looking then go home happy.
“You can get anything you’ve got for dolls houses. Minatare cheese graters, lemon squeezers, you name it.
You can even get gas meters with all the detail.”
Mrs Wheat moved her business to Spon Steet in 2002 after six years selling women’s accessories at a City Arcade premise.
She said: “One year I stocked a few bears over Christmas and they sold really well so I started stocking more and more.”
Mrs Wheat said she has customers all over the Midlands and even has one buyer in America.
Bears at Cejais start at £10, dolls houses begin at £50 with accessories from 99p.
