TV faces are set to star in Little Shop of Horrors at The Belgrade.

Clare Buckfield, of BBC sitcom 2.4 Children, former Dr Who Sylvester McCoy and Alex Ferns – Trevor in Eastenders – all have a role to play in the hit musical.

Buckfield, former long-term girlfriend of TV presenter Declan Donnelly and recent Dancing on Ice star, plays Audrey.

McCoy takes on the part of Mr Mushnik and Ferns plays the dastardly Dentist.

The story follows down and out Skid Row floral assistant Seymour as he becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood.

Soon ‘Audrey II’ grows into an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed, R&B-singing; carnivore offering him fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite.

But as Audrey II’s hungry demands increase, all that Seymour holds dear is threatened as the plant’s sinister agenda for global domination is revealed.

Little Shop of Horrors is one of the longest-running off-Broadway shows of all time following a hugely successful 1986 film adaptation, starring Rick Moranis, Steve Martin and Bill Murray.

The show runs from Monday March 2 to Saturday March 7 with performances at 7.45 nightly.

There are matinees at 2.30pm on Wednesday March 4 and at 4pm on Saturday March 7.

Tickets are priced £16.64 to £27.40.
