Spider's Web at The Belgrade
Spider's Web - Mark Wynter, Ben Nealon and Bruce Montague

A MURDER mystery featuring familiar TV faces is heading to Coventry.

Spider’s Web – presented by the Official Agatha Christie Theatre Company – will play at The Belgrade for five nights.

The show features Denis Lill (The Royal, Survivors and Outside Edge) Melanie Gutteridge (PC Emma Keane in The Bill), Catherine Shipton (Duffy in Casualty) and Ben Nealon (Soldier Soldier).

Spider’s Web also stars Bruce Montague (sitcom Butterflies) and Mark Wynter - both returning to the Belgrade following last year’s popular production of And Then There Were None.

The story of suspense begins when Clarissa discovers a dead body in her drawing-room and she tries to dispose of it before her Foreign Office diplomat husband returns home with a government VIP guest.

Equipped with an over-active imagination, Clarissa finds real life murder a little too hard to handle. And having persuaded her houseguests to help her it soon becomes apparent that the dead man was not unknown to everyone amongst them.

As the web of deceit starts to unravel, Clarissa pulls her friends into a desperate race to unveil the murderer and solve the mystery before the police discover the felony and arrest her as their prime suspect.

Spider’s Web runs between September 1 and September 5.

Tickets cost between £12 and £24.25.
